good family-oriented hotels on the South side of the island which is where Smathers Beach and Higgs Beach are.

are happiest staying in a hotel or motel with a pool or a beach. There are very few public beaches in the Keys but there are several
resorts and hotels that have private beaches on their property. Some have hot tubs but no pools or beaches. Some resorts offer
their own water sports activities such as water skiing, tube rides and wake boarding.
